We're building a new home and I still use my drafting board, just like the one I learned on in the earlier 70s Triangles and scale ruler on the job. Kinda ol school I guess

Would it be cool to ask if someone on the forum could make parts for us?

I have a mostly intact side cover for a Craftsman RAS that I'm sure dozens of guys would like a copy of. I've been waiting and looking for someone with a 3D printer to make me some copies of it.

It's been broken and then glued back together but I'm hoping the "good side" can be scanned and then mirrored with software to create a good image.

I tried to join. Having problems with my password and just giving up.
I just dont have patience with passwords anymore.
Had a gazillion of them at one time.

 

A password manager helps immensely. This is what I use, it's free: KeePassXC Password Manager

 

MY son has just bought a scanner. I am trying to get him to consider a large printer so he can print car bumpers. (fenders).

 

Just curious — are there any woodworking sections there too, or is it strictly 3D printing and laser cutting?

 

The technologies will evolve, so it is a safe bet woodworking tasks will get folded in too.

 

Go there and check it out . . it was designed for those two arts. However, the laser engraving is usually done in wood.
